Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take custom orders/commissions?

Yes, if you have a saddle that you would like to turn into a bag, please check out the commissions page for additional details.

Are your prices any different for custom work versus the bags I see listed?

Generally speaking, no - if you would me to make a custom bag with the same basic design of what you like, the price will be the same. The reason for that is I am pricing the work based on my labor, not on the materials except in some specific cases. If you want something totally different from what you see on my page, I will discuss price with you based on a description of what you want.

What is your return policy?

For items in the original condition (no new marks, stains, smells, etc) and in the original dustbag, we accept returns within 30 days of purchase. You must pay round-trip shipping.

Please contact me before initiating a return!

What is your warranty?

I stand behind my craftsmanship. If you have any problems with your bag due to design, please contact me and I will work with you to come to a resolution. I cannot warranty bags against problems caused by use, however, such as scratches, stains, discoloration, or other issues caused by normal wear & tear.

How should I care for my bag?

Check out my blog post, here.

For dust, use a soft cloth to wipe clean. Any more difficult dirt or gunk can be wiped with a damp cloth. Saddle soap / leather cleaner can be used occasionally if desired. Oil should only be used occasionally, and you should be cautious as every brand of oil or conditioner colors leather differently.

Do not use oils or other conditioners on the gusset leather unless it appears very dry. If you do use a conditioning product, be sure to apply it evenly to the entire bag to ensure an even coloration if any change occurs. All products can discolor leather, but products built for saddles are your safest bet.

Some products I recommend generally (still use with caution!) are:
